Terms of Service
Short version: posting is free, don't post anything shady, and free listings go public 72 hours after posting, and if you pay $2.99 to feature a listing it goes live right away and sits at the top of New for 7 days, clearly labelled, with no promise of any particular number of visitors.
Who runs this
Share Your Startup (shareyourstartup.com) is run by one person, celikovic.xyz, not a company. Contact for anything below, including refunds: info@celikovic.xyz.
Free listings
- Posting a startup is free and needs no account. Your listing (name, URL, pitch, category) becomes public 72 hours after you post it, or 24 hours after if a page on your listed site links to us with our badge (checked automatically). We may use that time to check it, and can remove it before it ever appears.
- Only post something you own or are allowed to promote. No gambling, adult content, malware, phishing, scams, illegal products, or misleading claims.
- We can hide or remove any listing at any time, without notice. That includes rule breaks, spam, and links that stay broken (checked automatically every day).
- Listings can't be edited after posting. Email us if one needs fixing or taking down.
- Votes are one per visitor per listing. Trying to game them (bots, vote rings, buying votes) can get a listing removed.
Featured listings ($2.99)
After you post, you can pay to feature your listing, from the confirmation screen or from your listing's page while it's waiting. Here's exactly what that is:
- What you get: your listing is published immediately instead of after the 72-hour wait, and it is pinned above every non-featured listing on the New tab (the homepage's default view) for 7 days, with an amber "Featured" label. If several listings are featured at once, they're shown together at the top, newest first.
- What you don't get: Featured doesn't change the Top or Weekly tabs, which are ranked only by votes. There's no guarantee of any number of visitors, clicks, votes, sign-ups or search ranking.
- Links: featured links are marked as sponsored (
rel="sponsored"), as search engines require for paid placements. They don't pass SEO link authority. - Price: $2.99 USD, paid once through Stripe's secure checkout. It's not a subscription, and nothing renews. We never see or store your card details.
- Timing: the 7 days start once Stripe confirms your payment, usually within a minute. Buying again while a listing is still featured adds 7 more days on the end.
- Same rules apply: paying doesn't exempt a listing from the rules above. If a featured listing breaks them, or its link stays broken, it can be removed with no refund.
Cancellations & refunds
Because a featured listing starts straight away, by paying you ask us to start the service immediately. You can still change your mind: email info@celikovic.xyz within 14 days of paying and we'll refund the unused days (for example, cancel after 2 days and you get 5/7 of the price back). If we can't deliver a feature on our side, for example because the site is down for a long stretch, we'll extend it or refund you.
Ad slots
When ad slots are offered (see advertise), the same rules apply: content is checked before payment, each slot runs for the time shown at checkout, it's labelled "Sponsored", and refunds work the same way as above.
No warranty
The site is provided as it is. We try to keep it up and working but can't promise it'll always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability for any paid service is limited to what you paid for it. None of this limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law where you live.

Changes
We may update these terms. A change never applies retroactively to a feature you've already paid for. The date below shows the latest version.
