The idea

Getting your first backlinks is one of the hardest parts of building in public. SEO agencies charge thousands. Guest posts take months. Most directories hide your link behind a nofollow tag, which passes zero SEO value.

We started this because we were in the same position — no backlinks, no domain authority, just a product we believed in. The idea is simple: we don't have backlinks ourselves yet, but as a community we can build something real. Every founder who posts here gets a permanent, indexed page with a real dofollow link pointing to their site.

How the backlinks work

Every post creates a unique page at shareyourstartup.com/post/[id]. That page contains a dofollow link to your startup — meaning no nofollow attribute, no redirect, no tricks. Search engines like Google crawl these pages, follow the link, and pass domain authority to your site automatically.

It's fully automated. You post your URL, the page goes live immediately, and Google will discover and index it the next time it crawls this site. No manual review, no waiting for approval.
